چکیده
1 Abstract The gap between expectations of the data warehouse user community and the solutions provided by the researchers as well as IT companies seems to be widening. The aim of this paper is to look at some of the burning issues faced by the practitioners and the way in which those issues are addressed by the researchers. The paper stresses on the need of a data model for a seamless transition from the conception stage through to the full life cycle of a data warehouses system.

Abstract: The present research aimed at developing and validating a conceptual model for narrowing the gap between intended, implemented, and attained curricula in the public education system in Iran. Two fundamental questions guided this investigation: what model can be developed to reduce the gap between the three mentioned curricula? To what extent does the proposed model gain the approval? ...
متن کاملNumerical Formulation on Crack Closing Effect In Buckling Analysis of Edge-Cracked Columns
In this paper, buckling of simply supported column with an edge crack is investigated numerically and analytically. Four different scenarios of damage severities are applied to a column, open crack assumption and the effect of closing crack in stability of the column which depends on position and size of cracks, are numerically compared. Crack surfaces contact is modeled with GAP element using ...

In this commentary, the idea of closing the gap between knowing and doing through closing the gap between academics and practitioners is explored. The two communities approach to knowledge production and use, has predominated within healthcare, resulting in a separation between the worlds of research and practice, and, therefore, between its producers and users. Meaningful collaborations betwee...
متن کاملA Conceptual Framework for Post-Design Analysis in AI Planning Applications
A disciplined design process does not guarantee a complete and flawless model of a planning problem, even with the existing methods and tools available in the AI community. A post-design project phase can identify essential hidden knowledge and directly impact the final planning system. The central theme of this paper is the design of a domain-independent framework to structure the post-design ...
متن کاملBRIDGING THE REQUIREMENTS TO DESIGN TRACEABILITY GAP How an integrated decision model helps closing the gap
Requirement traceability ensures that software products meet their requirements and additionally makes the estimation of the consequences of requirement changes possible. In this article a case study analyses symptoms of this problem in the process model of ISO 12207, the foundation of SPICE (ISO 15504), and CMMi. Our analysis is directed at deriving a concept for the integrated extension of cu...
